Mobile event app: Sonepar opened its doors to facilitate staff interaction

Sonepar Group is the global leader in the distribution of electrical materials. Sonepar Brasil has been in operation since 2001 and is formed by companies Centelha, Dimensional, DW, Eletronor, Etil and Nortel, with 73 branches in total.

In order to invite their employees’ families to experience their facilities and to establish a closer relationship between employees and the company, Sonepar Brasil organized the event Opening Doors. More than 700 employees and their families attended the event that included InEvent solutions as a solution to foster communication and interaction among all parties. It was vital that attendees interact independently of their place on a hierarchical level..

To help the event fulfill its purpose, InEvent developed a custom mobile event app. Invitations to employees were personalized and emailed, containing an access link to the mobile event app. One of the most used features was the news feed, which prompted attendees to communicate and follow the event as a whole. Push notifications and gamification actions were also used to strengthen the company’s culture and values.

With the event Sonepar promoted, there were meetings and interactions among employees from Sonepar’s various departments in a digital and simultaneous manner regardless of their position in the company. During the event, more than 150,000 interactions were counted, with an engagement rate of 84%.
