What will tomorrow bring?
It feels like technology is changing at a break-neck pace, with new demands and opportunities developing right before our eyes. This new digital future demands that systems integrators, designers, owners, and operators understand the physical infrastructure and connectivity choices that are necessary to facilitate a smooth and seamless transition into the next generation of AV technology.
In this presentation we’ll explore the emerging technologies, both wired and wireless, that will have the greatest impact on communications systems and experience architecture. Imagine what you could do if you knew what was coming next!
Moore’s Law postulates that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years, even while the cost of computational power declines. It was a prediction that became a well-known rule. The changes happening in AV technology are driven by these changes in computational power, memory, and cost.
Today, we enjoy the equivalent of a tiny, powerful computer, complete with Artificial Intelligence, built into virtually everything from watches to speakers.
There’s a hidden truth in this. Devices evolve and change, but the underlying technology is very stable. Understand how 4K UHD work and you’ll know what to expect – and what not to expect – from 8K, for example. In this fascinating presentation we will look at the new technologies and applications that are just emerging from the labs and think-tanks of the industry and are now making a mark on our AV system designs. Drawing a logical line from the past, through today, and into tomorrow we’ll show you what’s up next and where you need to look to keep your systems and designs full future ready.
Do you really need to think in terms of 80Gbit/s links, 33-megapixel images and sub-millisecond latency? Which technologies are demanding that kind of pipeline and how will that impact AV design in general, and your system in specific? Get answers to those questions and more when you explore the emerging technologies that will change the future of AV!
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, attendee will have learned about:
The four vectors of AV design and how to apply them to new projects and system upgrades
The potential impact of 5G cellular communications on AV design in the near term and how 5G might change how we think about “the network”.
How Thunderbolt and USB Type-C will work together to completely re-arrange our thinking about mobile integration and structured wiring
It’s a new world!
Many schools, colleges and universities are either adding to, or upgrading their teaching spaces to provide streaming and distance learning capabilities that will allow students to participate in classes and lectures while maintaining social distancing regulations or via a video conference.
This session will focus on:
Microphone solutions for group, classroom, and individual live interaction in today and tomorrow’s corporate environment.
How to navigate the AT mic selection, picking the right microphone for the application at hand.
Why and how different mics act and react in different environments.
How many microphones do I need?
How far does this mic pick up my voice?
I want wireless?
What mics interface best with camera systems?
Direct to network microphones?
What mic will work best with Zoom or Teams Mics?
2020 has forever changed the world's view on how we do business. With this new lens, many businesses are looking at new ways to enhance their meeting rooms for a flexible, hybrid collaboration environment – and Barco has just the solution. Join Mike Reilly, Senior Regional Sales Manager for Barco, as he dives into:
The Correct Display Size for the Room – it was important before social distancing but with the addition of that element it becomes even more critical to having the display/screen sized correctly so everyone can read content.
ALR or Ambient Light Rejection – projection can be just as good as direct view when using proper screen material and projector.
Acumen – Draper’s newest line of projector screens – elegant industrial design, seven year warranty and ease of installation. We even offer rechargeable screens, a fantastic solution for difficult installations.
Projector Lifts – enables the proper alignment of projector to screen while in use and “disappears” when not needed.
Direct View LED structures (DvLED) – We’ll explain dvLED, it’s uses and advantages. We’ll also talk about dvLEDmounting solutions provided by Draper.
