He will explain some of the confusing metrics around the economy right now, and speak to the challenges of inflation, rising interest rates, the prospects of a full-blown recession, changes in consumer spending, and other issues facing the outdoor recreation industry. Based in Washington, D.C., Dubay has access to real-time government data, and tracks the condition of the economy, analyzes the impact of public policy on economic growth, and runs the Chamber's Chief Economists Committee. He has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business, Fox News, testified before Congress, and been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and Politico.
