Branislav Bárta
Senior Solution Engineer - CEE Technical Support VIAVI Solutions
Branislav Bárta has been active in the telecommunications sector since graduating from the Slovak Technical University with Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 1984. In the early years of his career, he worked at different positions at Slovak Telecom AG untill 1991. During his time at Slovak Telecom AG, Branislav worked also as guest lecturer at Slovak Technical University for 6 years. Since 1991, Branislav has been working at Viavi Solutions Austria GmbH (formerly W&G, WWG, Acterna, JDSU) as senior solution engineer for the last 15 years. He is in charge of technical support of Viavi sales offices and sales partners in CEE and CIS region, with emphasis on fiber optics and access technology.
Markku St John
European Business Development Manager Fusion Splicer Division, Fujikura Europe Ltd
Markku joined Fujikura Europe in 2009 as a Sales Executive for electronic components and in 2013 transferred to the Fusion Splicer division. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and has extensive experience working as a European Development Manager supporting Fujikura’s network of channel partners across Europe.

Regional PLM For Essential Fiber Instruments (EMEA), VIAVI Solutions
Trained as an Electronics and Radio engineer with the British Military, serving for 24 years. Within that time, he supported a wide variety of communication systems, including Satellite comms, telephone systems, radio systems and secure comms.
After leaving the Army, he was an accredited installer and trainer for Nokia, Nortel, Ericsson and Marconi SDH systems for 6 years.
For the last 14 years, he has been part of the JDSU/VIAVI team, specializing in copper/xDSL/cable (DOCSIS3.1) and fibre systems. His current focus is within the FTTx last mile arena. He has supported many service providers across EMEA in the deployment and maintenance of FTTx networks, with the main focus now on 10G XGS-PON networks.

Yvan Frosio is an EMEA Solution Engineer at VIAVI since 1995. He is specialized in HFC Test Instruments & Systems. Located in Bern Switzerland, Yvan successfully supports VIAVI’s customers and channel partners with in-depth technical knowledge on a wide rage of wireline technologies.
