Welcome to the 21st Ibis Instruments Seminar!
During two days 5th and 6th November you will have the opportunity to learn, network and talk with our distinguished speakers on various topics: 5G, Giga@Home, QoS & QoE, Critical Utility Infrastructure, RF spectrum management & control, General purpose and advanced lab solutions, Avionics & RTS.
See what sessions await you in the 21st Ibis Seminar at the link Agenda.
Include things that are now only in our imagination like self-driven cars, remote medical procedures, and others. To derivate all these in the future ground must be a high-quality network, so 5G will be the concept of the future of our everyday activities.

As the world has changed significantly in recent months, there has been a change in the use of the Internet and now, more than ever before, fast and reliable Broadband access is really necessary. Operators face new challenges to safely support existing and connect new customers while minimizing health risks during each field intervention. In the delivery of Broadband service to residential customers, there is a general trend of the constant exponential increase in the required speeds. There is currently a user need for speeds above 1Gbps. New technologies are being developed and access networks are being transformed to meet these requirements. Fibre continues to penetrate deeper and deeper into the access network, but the financial benefits of using the existing infrastructure, as well as the development of new technologies, actualize access through the coaxial network.
On today session you will have the opportunity to see a presentation from:
10h - 10:05h WELCOME NOTE - Marko Tasić, Ibis Instruments
10:05h - 10:50h TRENDS IN ACCESS OPTICAL NETWORKS - Branislav Barta, Viavi Solutions
10:50h - 11:40h ENABLING ZERO- TOUCH REMOTE MAINTENANCE PROCESSES IN CATV NETWORK - Yvan Frosio, Viavi Solutions
11:40h - 12:00h Questions and closing note
With the persistent expansion of wireless services worldwide, all services relying on radio waves are competing for a share of the radio-frequency spectrum to support new applications, growing user numbers and exploding traffic. Spectrum Management is the art and science of managing the use of the radio spectrum in order to minimize interference and ensure the radio spectrum is used to its most efficient extent and benefit for the public.
On today session you will have the opportunity to see a presentation from:
10:00 - 10:05 Welcome note - Sanja Lasica, Ibis Instruments

In modern organizations, IT teams have to maintain a delicate balance between security, connectivity, and productivity needs. Defining stringent policies with multiple groups to meet different internet connectivity needs of teams in the office is rarely a one-time process.
QoS (Quality of Service) refers to all such mechanisms or tools ensuring critical applications requiring real-time data (usually audio or video) get sufficient dedicated bandwidth, with priority over other applications. The primary goal of QoS is to manage packet loss and reduce latency and jitters in the network connection.
