Jason Burt currently serves as the Public Safety Market Manager for the Communication Systems Business Segment of L3Harris Technologies. He is responsible for managing the public safety and federal vertical markets, expanding the product portfolio by leveraging L3Harris product platforms, and leading partnership strategies with critical public safety offerings from members of the Mission Critical Alliance. He also manages the public safety voice of the customer initiatives by investigating market feedback and bringing new solutions to meet customer demand.
Previously, Jason managed the system engineering group and was responsible for all communication system design and technical responses in the western United States. Jason has led the technical strategy on major capture pursuits, and is a subject matter expert on coverage design and traffic analysis. Jason has been with L3Harris since 1999. Jason has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Florida State University.
Jeremy Elder is the Director of Product Management for Systems Infrastructure and Radio Products at L3Harris.
Jeremy has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a specialization in Computer Science from Liberty University. Jeremy has almost 20 years of LMR industry experience with experience in software development and test, systems architecture, and product management. Jeremy is a P25 Subject Matter Expert who in the past has represented L3Harris on TIA-102 committees and authored several P25 standards.
Don Griffis is a Principal Product Manager at L3Harris Corporation. Don is the product manager of the industry’s first converged LMR / LTE device, the XL-200P. The XL-200P is FirstNet Ready and is L3Harris most successful portable product, that continues its grow in the market. Don actively engages with first responders and other members within the public safety market to find new and unique ways to adapt his product to enhance their user experience.
Don has over a quarter century in the public safety land mobile radio industry and has played an integral role in APCO 25 standards while employed at L3Harris and Motorola. Throughout his career, Don has obtained several rf communications patents. Don is an avid supporter of interoperability and standards-based communications.
Don has been an amateur radio operator for over 43 years. It was his early love of communication and helping during disasters that led him into his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a career in land mobile radio communications. Don is married with two children and resides in Lynchburg, Virginia. Don is an avid hiker, climber and outdoor enthusiast.
Sanjay Kalasa is currently the President of Adashi Systems LLC. Adashi Systems is a premier public safety software company, focusing on incident response, incident command, rostering and situational awareness solutions.
In his previous role he oversaw the public safety solutions group for Xerox/ACS. He is also one of the founders of FIREHOUSE Software. He is an active volunteer firefighter at the Rockville Vol Fire Dept, Rockville, Montgomery County, MD.
He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA.
Jason Patton is a 12-year career firefighter/paramedic and creator of the video series Fire Department Chronicles which has amassed 1.4 million followers and over 150 million views. Patton is vice president of Fire Department Coffee and a board member and spokesperson for the Heroes Cup, which works with NHL teams such as the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lighting to raise money for first responders in need. He is an advocate for first responder mental health, attempting to break the stigma associated with those seeking help for mental health or substance abuse issues.
Known for his Fire Department Chronicles, Jason Patton is a Social Media Influencer with a combined following of over 800,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Tim Steltzer is an Product Manager at L3Harris for the XL portable and XL mobile software platform. The XL software platform is the heart of XL radios and is integral in combining P25 and LTE functionality into a single device. Tim is passionate about working with customers to effectivity implement broadband LTE connectivity in mission-critical operational environments.
Tim has worked with multiple functional teams at L3Harris including federal systems engineering and most recently as a technical sales engineer. As a sales engineer, Tim worked with AT&T FirstNet and Verizon to prove the performance and functionality of XL converged radios on both networks in urban and rural settings. Tim specialized in wireless communications within his academic pursuits and holds a Masters of Engineering degree from Virginia Tech. Tim resides in Lynchburg, VA with his three daughters and enjoys freestyle skiing and dirt biking.
Dirk Young is Directing Manager Western Region for Communications International. Prior to this position Dirk was the owner of Hurricane Electronics, Inc. Dirk has over 30 years of experience in the Land Mobile Radio Industry and has been a part of the L3Harris Users Group since 1997 and is currently serving as treasurer on the Board of Directors. Dirk is married to his lovely wife Amanda and they just celebrated their 28 anniversary! They have 4 children, 6 grandchildren and live in Mobile, AL.

Incident Commanders are faced with the need to make quick decisions with limited information. This session will highlight Adashi Systems, a member of the Mission Critical Alliance, and review the capabilities of the Command and Control (C&C) application platform for on-scene incident management. We will discuss the problems that an Incident Commander faces, discuss the capabilities of C&C in solving those problems, and highlight some of the radio integration features available with C&C to aid Incident Commanders to make informed decisions.
