- Devon Smiegielski is born and raised in the Peace Country with an educational background in Forestry and Adult Education. Her previous work with the department as an Environmental Protection Officer has provided a strong background in provincial legislation and compliance. Blended with her previous work and training in Education and Outreach and passion for the environment, Devon brings a unique approach to pesticide certification.

Gayah Sieusahai, P.Ag. Pest Regulatory Officer @ Ag/For and Rural Economic DevelopmentIn 1989 graduated from the U of A with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. From 1989-200 he worked for Viterra in Calagary as the canola technician under the Canola Breeding Program. From 2001-2003 he worked at the University of Alberta farm as the canola technician under the Canola Breeding Program. In 2003-2006 Gayah worked as the Regional Variety Trial coordinator for cereal, pulse and oilseed crops with Alberta Agriculture. From 2006-2010 he worked as the Crop Program Manager for the Alberta Research and Extension Council. In 2010 he took on the role as the Pest Regulatory Officer with Alberta Agriculture Forestry and Rural Economic Development. The Weed Control Act and Agricultural Pests Act are part of Gayah's responsibilities.

Megan Evans, M.Sc., P.Biol. Executive Director @ Alberta Invasive Species CouncilMegan has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a Master's degree in Ecology. She is a Professional Biologist and has been working in the field for over ten years. Starting out as a Range Ecologist for a small environmental consulting company, she then spent six years with the Alberta government as an Ecologist and Forest Health Officer in Southern Alberta. She has participated on the board of the Canadian Council on Invasive Species, the Alberta Invasive Species Counc8il, the Entomological Society of Alberta, the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass' Agricultural Service Board and is a co-founder of the Alberta Native Bee Council. She is currently the Executive Director of the Alberta Invasive Species Council.

Randall H. Miller Director, Vegetation Management
Randall H. Miller is CNUC director of research and development, having joined the company in May 2017. He performs formal utility vegetation management industry surveys studies among other responsibilities for CNUC. Prior to joining CNUC, he worked in PacifiCorp’s vegetation management department for more than 23 years, including 18 running the program, retiring as the director of vegetation management.
Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s in urban forestry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and an ISA Certified Utility Specialist (IL-0225 BU). He is a widely published author, with roughly 80 publications, most notably the Integrated Vegetation Management Best Management Practices and as coauthor of Utility Arboriculture: The Utility Specialist Certification Study Guide. He is a past Chair of the TREE Fund Board of Trustees, past President of the Utility Arborist Association and served twice as the Chair of the Edison Electric Institute Vegetation Management Task Force.
