U.S. Oil & Gas Industry Days – Suriname
The U.S. Commercial Service, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo, invites U.S. companies to participate in the U.S. Oil & Gas Industry Days – Suriname held alongside the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit (SEOGS) this June.
Why Suriname?
Suriname is emerging as one of the world's fastest-growing energy markets. Following a major offshore oil discovery in 2020, global energy leaders such as TotalEnergies, Petronas, Chevron, and Shell are investing heavily in the country. Initial oil production is expected by 2028, creating strong demand across the energy value chain and related sectors.
The United States is Suriname's largest trading partner, accounting for approximately 31% of imports. Both government and industry stakeholders are actively seeking U.S. expertise, technology, and partnerships.
