FAQs

What is the SelectUSA Mexico Conference?
It is a business meeting for Mexican companies interested in establishing or expanding operations in the United States. It brings together representatives from U.S. states, cities, and regions, service providers, and other businesspeople.

Who is it aimed at?
For companies of all sizes and sectors: from those just exploring expansion to those with advanced projects in the United States. There will also be content for startups and technology companies.

When and where will it be?
Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Expo Reforma, Mexico City. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the program ends at 5:00 pm. Afterwards, there will be a cocktail reception at the same location from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

What can I expect from the event?
A combination of expo, talks on the main stage, short sessions on two quiet stages, one-on-one meetings, speed networking, and a pitch competition for startups. There will also be food and a closing cocktail reception.

Who can I talk to?
With representatives from more than 20 states, cities, and regions across the United States, plus service providers who can advise businesses on issues related to establishing and growing their operations in the country.

What kind of topics will be covered?
Participating states and cities will present their opportunities and resources. Service providers will discuss the services they offer to support international expansion. There will also be discussions on entrepreneurship, technology, and the experiences of Mexican companies that have already established operations in the United States.

Will there be individual meetings?
Yes. The event will feature a table area for one-on-one meetings. Instructions for requesting or scheduling meetings will be shared through the event platform.

How does speed networking work?
There will be two speed networking sessions. Exhibitor representatives will remain at their tables, and participating companies will rotate through the sessions for set periods to meet representatives from different states, cities, and service providers.

Will there be a pitch competition?
Yes. SelectUSA Tech will be hosting a pitch competition for startups as part of the Mexico Tech Week program. The call for entries and participation requirements will be published separately.

Where can I stay?
Expo Reforma does not have a designated hotel. There are several hotels within walking distance, but we do not have an official hotel or a negotiated rate for the event. Each participant must book their preferred hotel directly.

Do I need to have a company incorporated in the United States to attend?
No. Companies that are just evaluating their options or seeking information to determine where and how to establish themselves can also attend.

Is the event only for startups?
No. SelectUSA caters to traditional companies and startups of all sizes and sectors. The pitch competition and some technology talks are a specific part of the program; the rest of the conference is geared toward a broader business audience.

Will the event be in Spanish or English?
There will be sessions in both languages, depending on the speaker and the content. The final information for each session will indicate the corresponding language.
