Amazon is a multinational American company that markets products and services. It was one of the pioneering companies to sell products on the internet.
Amazon's events, the AWS Cloud Experience , is designed to discuss ways to keep business data secure, meet compliance requirements, and eliminate costs while companies scale their business quickly.
There are 12 annual events in Latin America, including 8 in Brazil, for customers and potential customers of Amazon Web Services, Amazon's cloud platform.
AWS events are intended to engage the public, expand knowledge about how Amazon programs work, and in the future provide participants with an experience with their products to become customers.
At the event, they offer free classes, exclusive courses, presentation of customer cases and promotional tickets to try out the company's products.
In past events, Amazon used an RSVP form on the Marketo platform, which was not integrated with event platform and app. For this year, AWS wanted to integrate all stages into a single place, streamlining the event management processes.
One of the prerequisites was accreditation, which needed to be available at any time during the event. Amazon has distinct audiences who participate in sessions at different times of the day, which requires integrated credentials and forms for attendees' mixed profiles.
Amazon hired InEvent's full platform to manage its event's attendees. Its white label format, which also covers multi-events, has more than 50 built-in features and has lifespan data availability. All future and past event data can be accessed and analyzed at any time. Through multi-events, the AWS team and its partner agency were able to manage their event from start to finish. They also had the ap available for Android and iOS, with support for Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Accreditation was performed through the confirmation email and the event app. Amazon's accreditation needed to occur every day of the event, meaning, participants could identify themselves with the QR Code, email form or app when they wanted to access courses, lectures and other content during the event.
Reports with audience preferences at different times were also important for Amazon to strategically define the interests and ensure a good experience for the public. This way it is possible to measure the quality of the event by engaging the participants and improving their results for the next editions.
Data collectors were used simultaneously with the accreditation. We differentiated and issued reports with participants' data that Amazon found pertinent, all in real time and accessible through spreadsheets. Amazon will use this data to qualify its events and determine actions for upcoming events, defining strategic assets and determining public interests (among other important decisions).
The event app was customized with the logo and event colors according to Amazon's needs. The news feed was used for updates, networking, push push, and event scheduling, which were also standardized with its business rules. In addition, technical materials such as pdfs and presentations were shared throughout the event as a secure file directory for participants.
The platform's forms were aimed at enrolling and qualifying the leads. Shortly after participants signed up, integrating the data into the platform allowed Amazon to have all the data synced in one place. We provided tablets with the forms at the event's arrival, so different participants received questions specific to their area or interest.
Live support for Amazon events was conducted by InEvent's global customer success team . The multilingual team assisted during all the moments of the event, helping setup' operations, platform construction, pre-event event layout, participants accreditation support and presence in the countries where Amazon acted.
With our multi-event software, Amazon has access to all its events in a single platform facilitating the management and extraction of data.
Information controls such as time, attendee profile, calendar access, feed posts (integration and engagement among participants) and access to materials are safely managed by the event team. Accreditation also achieves its objectives by making possible for participants to access it at any time throughout the event without bureaucracy, paperwork or queues.
The integration of attendees' data is also a strategic differential to analyze the event most sought content and profiles. This enables a more consistent, error-free operation with a great experience for the participant. A true AWS Cloud Experience at Latin America!
